Hebrews 3:7-19 No Rest for Unbelievers

The biggest problem that the Jewish people had, who were the recipients of the letter to the Hebrews, was their unbelief. In chapter 3, verses 7-19, our writer warns his Jewish brothers to not make the same mistake their forefathers made. The Jewish forefathers didn't believe God, therefore they didn't enter into the rest of the promised land. Now, for the current generation of Jews, someone greater than Moses had spoken to them and they were about to make the same mistake of unbelief. The warning is for unbelieving Jews, not modern day Christians.
