Hebrews 12:3-11 The World Comes at Us but Christ Works In Us

What our author wanted his audience to understand is the same thing we need to understand. The world comes at us, but Christ always works in us. The Jewish believers were beginning to experience persecution from their fellow Jews, and it would get worse. The coming persecution would be from Gentiles and it would be severe! But Christ would never abandon them. There are a growing number of people in our society that hate Christ. So maybe the question is, “Do they see enough of Christ in you, that they might target you for persecution?
