Galatians 2:1-10 Preserve the Truth and Resist Error

Paul, a former Jewish zealot and legalistic Pharisee, preached Jesus plus nothing to Jew and Gentiles for 17 years. There was no problem until the Judaizers infiltrated the church and tried to say the New Covenant included parts of the Old Covenant. These verses continued to establish Paul’s apostolic authority, to demonstrate that the gospel he preached was the true gospel. There is no place in the New Covenant for Old Covenant Law. The focus should be on Christ and walking by the Spirit so God can produce His fruit. We must preserve the truth of grace and resist any efforts to add Law or legalism to the simplicity of the supernatural gospel.
